EcoCasa Vieques is a walled compound having two environmentally sustainable rental units (1-Ground Floor Two-Bedroom with outdoor terraces/gardens and 1-Upper Level Three-Bedroom unit with ocean view roof deck), a caretaker's cottage, on-site washer dryer/storage, a naturally ventilated (covered) carport, sustainable gardens, and outdoor terrace spaces to accommodate outdoor lounging and dining. EcoCasa Vieques is designed to be a zero-carbon footprint residential quarters for those interested in vacationing on a beautiful natural island with the world’s most beautiful beaches, snorkeling, fishing, hiking trials, an amazing Bio-Luminescent Bay, wild horses, beautiful/interesting natural fauna, tourist attractions, lovely island charm, all with the ability to live simply and sustainably.
These sustainable residential quarters were designed to use photovoltaic energy to minimize electrical usage, a large solar heated hot water exterior private/group shower, controlled shaded adjacent canopied exterior spaces and natural convection/ventilation to minimize required use of air conditioning. The sustainable gardens add local beauty, fragrance, and may (with some good timing), also provide limited mangos, lemons, and bananas. The property separated the pedestrian entrance from two auto entrance gates with parking for arranged transportation (charging station available).
